Useful Tips

The table direction is from right to left, meaning you have to start from very right column titled 'Gulf Spoken Arabic', then its transliteration, followed by its meaning and so on.

If you are a beginner and just want to learn simple colloquial expressions for everyday communication, you can skip the column 'Standard Arabic', which is exclusively for advanced learners.

Those who are in a hurry and want to grab some quick bites, just look for the keywords with asterisk (*) symbol.

You can also learn other contexts where these expressions are used.

For the convenience of beginners, scroll the 'Identify Letters' teaser in the right column of the page to be able to read.
